Bodegas Palacio, has contributed since its foundation in 1894 to the revolution that has taken place in Rioja wines. One of the great milestones in its history was the launch of Glorioso in 1917.  A story that started to be written in spring of that year, the first reflection of the winery's contemporary spirit.

Glorioso, one of Bodegas Palacio's most renowned brands, was quickly successful in making waves among Bilbao society of the time, becoming the sponsor of Bilbao's Hanging Bridge, the world's oldest transporter bridge, declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 2008.

Through its ten decades of history, the brand has shown an ability to adapt to the times, remaining faithful to its role both as the "Essence of the Rioja Alavesa" and to keeping the innovative spirit of Bodegas Palacio alive. It has gained great prestige thanks to its transformational vision and ability to interpret the personality of the Rioja Alavesa. Glorioso is the sum result of the great virtues of its origin: tradition, prestige and balance.

More than 200 Gold Medals and scores of 90+ points in prestigious national and international competitions are testimony to the quality of Glorioso's unique style.
