Fully committed to the environment, we work to protect and improve it, in all aspects of our activities, from the vineyard to the winery and logistics.

We have an active understanding of this responsibility and we develop it across three fronts: the management of the estates, the appropriate use of energy and water, and the activities within the framework of the ISO 14001 regulations.

FOCUS POINTS

  • COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT OF THE GROUP'S ESTATES

With sustainable agricultural and non-contaminating techniques, maintaining the native flora and shaping a balanced landscape we achieve harmony between the vines and their surroundings, between production and the environment.

  • IMPROVED ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Led by Viña Mayor, our winery in the DO Ribera del Duero. The main achievements to date include a 19% reduction in emissions, the auditing of our carbon footprint, improved sustainability across the value chain and the improvement of water consumption protocol. Now, 100% of the energy used in Viña Mayor comes from renewable sources.

  • 2011: ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The group has attained ISO 14.001 standard certification. Waste, energy consumption, packaging efficiency, integrated cleaning, encouraging best practice, mechanized irrigation... All these actions, among others, are the practices of standards that demand that we look after something that we are all part of: the environment.
