Selected Verdejo grapes. Grapes from a mixture of parcels with different soils were used in the production of this wine. Some of these grapes come from the Caserío de Dueñas Estate’s own vines, which provide structure. Grapes from vineyards in Segovia are also used for their minerality and acidity, and vines from the Rueda or La Seca areas provide body.
The grapes are very carefully harvested when temperatures are at their lowest, to preserve all their aromas. They are very gently pressed. Maceration is carried out and the must is tasted as soon as it comes off the press in order to preserve the fruit character. Controlled fermentation at low temperature. Aging for 5 months on fine lees before bottling.
Bright yellow with green highlights.
Great aromatic intensity, in which the typical aromas of the Verdejo grape stand out. Citrus aromas delicately interwoven with hints of chamomile, fennel, stone fruit and subtle hints of honey. The nose is very elegant, fresh and complex.
It is a wine with a lot of weight and intensity on the palate. Fruit and mineral notes reappear, making way for a long finish of fresh fruit with notes of balsam. Silky texture, with lees ageing giving great breadth and volume in the mouth. Very well balanced. Delicious.
